Bounce Music Disc: Where to Find It in Minecraft 26.2+
To get the Bounce music disc in Minecraft, find a mineshaft inside a sulfur cave and search its minecart chests. Each of those chests has about a 42% chance to hold Bounce. It never drops from creepers, so a creeper farm won't help you here.
Bounce is the newest disc in the game. It came in Java 26.2 "Chaos Cubed," and 26.3 "Wilderness Bound" added no new discs, so Bounce still holds that title.

How to find Bounce, step by step
- Play on 26.2 or newer. Bounce doesn't exist in older versions, so an older world won't have it.
- Find a sulfur cave. The disc only shows up in mineshafts that generate inside this cave type. A regular mineshaft somewhere else won't do.
- Look for a mineshaft running through it. You need the mineshaft and the sulfur cave together.
- Open every minecart chest. These carts are your target. Each one has about a 42% chance to hold the disc.
- Keep exploring if you strike out. Odds that good mean you usually won't need many chests. Move on to the next one or the next sulfur cave.
Why Bounce is easier than most rare discs
That roughly 42% chance is high for a newer disc. Compare it with Pigstep, which sits at about 5.6% in the general bastion chests. You can read the full hunt in our Pigstep disc guide.
The hard part with Bounce is finding the right spot, not the luck. Once you're standing in a mineshaft inside a sulfur cave, you're in good shape.
Bounce never drops from creepers
This is the most common mistake I see on the server. Players build a creeper farm, wait for hours and wonder why Bounce never shows up.
A creeper killed by a skeleton, stray or bogged only drops one of the 12 C418 discs, from 13 through wait. Bounce is on the list of discs that never come from creepers, along with Pigstep, otherside, 5, Relic, Creator, Creator (Music Box), Precipice, Tears and Lava Chicken.
If you want every disc, you need the creeper drops for the old ones and a real trip to a sulfur cave for Bounce. Our full list of all 22 Minecraft music discs shows where each one comes from.
Bounce in a jukebox: comparator signal 8
Put Bounce in a jukebox and a comparator next to it outputs signal 8. That signal stays as long as the disc is inside.
Bounce shares signal 8 with stal. A comparator can't tell those two apart, so keep that in mind if you build a redstone setup that reacts to specific discs.
Other jukebox behavior that matters when you play Bounce:
- The song can be heard up to 64 blocks away.
- A disc plays once and doesn't loop by itself.
- While a disc plays, the jukebox powers adjacent redstone with signal 15 (Java 1.19.4+).
- Hoppers and droppers can insert and pull discs (Java 1.19.4+). The jukebox locks adjacent hoppers while it plays, so a hopper pulls the disc out when the song ends. That's how automatic disc changers work.
- Allays dance within 3 blocks of a playing jukebox. Give a dancing allay an amethyst shard and it duplicates, with a 5-minute cooldown.
- Parrots dance near a playing jukebox too.
Playing it with friends
Once you have Bounce, you'll want people around to hear it. On JukeZone, the whole spawn is built around this idea: the nightclub sits inside a giant jukebox, and DJ JUKE takes song requests on the dance floor.

Dancing in the club earns in-game money, so a music break doubles as a payday. All of it is in-game currency, never real money.
If you'd rather share music outside the game, JukeRooms gives you a web chat room with a shared jukebox. You can link a room to the server and join it in game with /jukeroom join <code>.

Bounce on Bedrock
Bedrock players got Bounce in the 26.30 previews. If your Bedrock version is older, the disc won't be in your world yet. On Java, any world on 26.2 or newer can have it.
