Outside there is a front porch, a dirt path with flowers, a 5 x 5 wheat patch and a few oak trees.

The whole build, including the yard and garden, measures 35 wide x 33 deep x 12 tall and uses 891 blocks. It is split into 14 steps, so you can stop after the roof and lights if you just need a safe place for the first night, then finish the farm and yard later.

Tips for survival

  • Gather your spruce before you start the roof. The 156 spruce stairs are the biggest single item in the build.
  • Put the lanterns and wall torches in early. Mobs cannot spawn where it is bright, so lighting the inside makes the house safe to sleep in.
  • Plant the oak trees around the yard early. They give you wood and apples for your first night, and the leaves are also used for the hedge around the wheat patch.
  • Dig the wheat patch with water in the middle first, then hoe the dirt around it. Add the leaf hedge last so it works as a fence.
