How to Build a Modern Mansion in Minecraft
The Modern Mansion is a two-story white house with a flat roof, floor-to-ceiling glass, and a spruce-clad box on the front left for a bit of warmth. It has a garage wing, an upstairs balcony over the garage roof, a swimming pool in the front yard, and a birch-and-azalea garden.
The whole build, pool and garden included, fits in 39 wide x 35 deep x 16 tall and uses 3,093 blocks. Most of that is smooth quartz and white concrete, so the palette is easy to gather. The guide below runs in 11 steps, from the foundation to the bedroom.

Tips for survival
- Smooth quartz is your biggest need at 1,262 blocks. Smelt quartz blocks to make it, and start early because the floors, slabs and roofs all use it.
- White concrete (493) and light gray concrete (257) both start as concrete powder, so set up a dye and water station before you begin the walls.
- Sea lanterns (16 in total) are the rarest item in the list. Collect them before you reach the roof trims, pool and interior steps, or swap in another light source where you need to.
- Take shears when you gather the 123 birch leaves for the garden hedges and trees. Build the pool and garden last on the exterior so the yard stays clear while you work.
